These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and CJ Interactive LLC ("we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the DevoTogether mobile application and related services (together, "the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
These Terms also serve as the End User License Agreement (EULA) for the App. Additional terms that apply when you download the App from the Apple App Store are set out in Section 11.
DevoTogether lets small groups share daily Bible devotions on a rotating schedule, post reflections, reply, and react. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on a device you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where such restriction is prohibited by law, and you may not use the App in any way not permitted by these Terms.
You must be at least 13 years old to use DevoTogether. By using the App you represent that you meet this requirement and that any information you provide is accurate.
You can use the App with an anonymous guest account, or sign in with Google or Apple. You are responsible for activity that happens through your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. Rooms are managed by their host; joining a room may require the host's approval.
DevoTogether offers an optional premium subscription (billed monthly) that unlocks unlimited devotion history and unlimited room members. Premium is applied at the room level: a room is premium while any of its members holds an active subscription. Without a subscription, rooms use the free tier (a rolling history window and a member cap); your content is not deleted when a room is on the free tier — older content is simply hidden and returns if the room becomes premium again.
Billing. Subscriptions are sold and processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, not by us directly. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
Managing and canceling. You manage, change, or cancel your subscription in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings — we cannot cancel it on your behalf. Canceling stops future renewals; you keep premium features until the end of the paid period. Except where required by law or by the store's own policies, payments are non-refundable, and refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies.
Prices and features may change; we will give notice of material changes as required by the applicable app store, and price changes apply only to future billing periods.
You keep ownership of the reflections, replies, room names, display name, and other content you create in the App ("Your Content"). By posting Your Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display it solely to operate and provide the App — for example, showing your reflection to the other members of your room and delivering notifications. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content already shared with others and for backup copies that are purged on our normal schedule.
You are responsible for Your Content and represent that you have the right to post it and that it does not violate these Terms or any law or third-party right.
DevoTogether is a space for shared faith and encouragement. You agree not to post, share, or transmit content, or behave in a way, that:
Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. Within the App you can report content and block other users, and we act on reports.
We use a combination of user reports, automated screening, and human review to moderate content. When content is reported, it may be automatically hidden pending review, and we may remove content or restrict or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. We aim to act on reports of objectionable content promptly. Room hosts also help manage their rooms, including approving members and removing content within their room.
The App, including its software, design, logos, and name, is owned by CJ Interactive LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you no rights in our trademarks or branding. Bible text and third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners.
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time from within the App. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the App. You can also review how account deletion works on our account-deletion page. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including content license grants already made to other users, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that content shared by other users is accurate or appropriate.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CJ Interactive LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where your local consumer-protection law provides otherwise. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Effective Date" above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Terms. Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
The following terms apply when you download the App from the Apple App Store. In the event of a conflict between this section and the rest of these Terms, this section controls for App Store downloads.
